Eker-Mak Becomes A Pioneer in Mechanization of Turkish Agriculture
It is known that mechanization in agriculture, which began in 1948 in Turkey, was carried out in the first place with spare parts production. The country’s lack of technically adequate resources and the limited level of financial support have been the main reason for the start of production with spare parts of agricultural machinery. The economic strengthening of the Republic of Turkey and the success of leading brands such as Eker-Mak in the sector have allowed the diversification of production.
Although the need for agricultural machinery met with imports in the 1950s and 1960s, small-scale production of agricultural machinery began under the leadership of Eker-Mak in the 1970s. Solutions that facilitate the work of farmers and increase productivity have seriously brought quality to the forefront. Eker-Mak and other Turkish brands, which managed to introduce products to international markets in the 1980s and 1990s, have been the pioneers of the Turkish industry. Today, very different mechanization levels have been reached with Industry 4.0 in agricultural machinery, where exports are quite severe.
Why is Eker-Mak important for Turkish Agriculture?
